Frequently asked questions about if certain things are acceptable in rp, and how to do things.
Before anything, make sure you've read the rules.
Can I?...
1.
Q: Can my wolf have powers? Wings? Be a werewolf?
A: No. But yes. Your wolf can ONLY have powers when roleplayed in the Supernatural forums.
(The supernatural forums are completely separate from all other rp. They can not interact with the pack or loner threads. They do not cross over AT ALL.)
2.
Q: Can I use first person pov? ('I looked around', 'My thoughts on the matter were'...)
A: No. Roleplaying here is done in THIRD PERSON POV only. ('She looked around', 'his thoughts on the matter were'...) Past tense is also appreciated, but not mandatory.
3.
Q: What about mating? Sexy stuff? : D
A: No. Bad. (PMs)
4.
Q: Can my wolf have a mate of the same sex/gender?
A: Yes. It's seen a lot in the wild; wolves don't care.
5.
Q: Can two of my own characters be mates?
A: You can have any relationships you want between your own characters.
6.
Q: I don't want to be a male or female thoooooo plz let my wolf be non-binary?
A: Wolves don't have gender. They have male or female parts but that doesn't mean you must make your character act in a certain way, they can act however you like. Gender is a human concept; wolves don't have gender roles or stereotypes like humans. If you want something diverting from male/female check out the SN forums.
7.
Q: Can my pack wolf have pups?
A: -If your character is an alpha, without question.
-If a beta, only if the alphas are feeling kind and the pack is in great health.
-If a pack member, it would be a rare thing, food would probably be plentiful and the pack's vitality flourishing, and the alphas very lenient. But you'll most likely get your ass bit by the alpha of your sex for trying.
-An omega? That's a funny joke.
When the urge to mate kicks in, the dominant male and female keep watch on their respective sexes. The alpha female will sometimes be aggressive to other females during mating seasons and the alpha male may chase other males from the pack if they try to mate. Subordinates could be killed, injured, or chased from the pack if they mate, so they generally don't try. Most instinctively respect the structure of the pack for breeding, and wolves who don't have been seen tattled on by other wolves to the alphas.
-Exceptions: Dawn Pack, with a single alpha, and their love of youth, allows vigorous subordinates to breed. And Whisper Pack, building an army of wolves, allows any breeding to take place to gain huge numbers.
