As she was padding through the twists and turns, Lily had purposely stayed on the areas of the ground that were above the water and therefore would leave her scent, creating a trail that would seemingly lead to her but actually would only lead to a dead end whilst the omega traveled elsewhere, scent undetectable as she now moved through the water, making sure her pawfalls were slow and careful as to not make any noise. With her lure set, the omega had moved off to an dark little nook where the glow from the moss wouldn't expose her. Whilst she sat in wait for Mystic to take the 'bait', Lily thought back to Mbweha and Zara, knowing that the optimum time to flip the tables on the two pranksters was now, the wind having changed to be in Lily and Mystic's favour. However, the lithe female wasn't about to just drop her little game, so she decided to do this and then run in the direction of the exit and luring an unknowing Mystic to it.
After a little while, Lily saw the male's silhouette head down into the dead end, looking confident that he had found the omega. Once again, the she-wolf had to hold back her laughter as she watched, letting him stand there for a minute or two before creeping silently forward, making sure to stay directly behind the large male in order to stay out of sight. Once close enough, the small female lunged forward, biting the dog's hind quarters with a playful snarl before she dashed off to a safe distance, spinning in a circle and hopping happily as she laughed, "You know, for one of our packs best hunters, you sure suck at tracking!" she barked jokingly before continuing in a teasing tone, "How does it feel to be outsmarted by a lowly, little omega~?". Of course, the female was only joking, and made sure to keep her tone light so Mystic would know that didn't really mean it. Expecting some form of retaliation, the female didn't stick around boasting for too long before running off, though she stayed at a slower pace so the male would be able to keep up. Despite her boasting, Lily knew that if she pulled this stunt elsewhere, where Mystic was familiar, the outcome may have been different. As she ran, the omega led Mystic towards the exit, having to come to a stop before she hit the water.
